Western Imperial history teaches us that the cost of running an empire was high. As the British and the French found out over time, empires are not only requires costly human sacrifice but also large amounts of financial sacrifice.
Fast forward 100 hundred years or so from the demise of European colonial imperialism to the current age of the neo-imperial America domination, we find the that eternal truths still remain pertinent.
Currently the America is spending roughly $100 billion on maintaining approximately 1000 overseas bases spread around the globe. In a time when many in the States are experiencing the "benefits" of the usury based finance system, how long will the accept such a high expenditure on maintain the empire ?
